Sony DSC-P5

Our Sony DSC-P1 suffered a hardware failure. We took it to a service center and they said the main circuit board would have to be replaced so I figured I would get a new one.

Digital Photography Review (Very nice reveiw - it even compares this model to my old DSC-P1

It is thinner than my DSC-P1.

Unfortunately I don't like the push-button on switch. It is difficult to press. On my old DSC-P1 I would grab it out of the case and toggle the on switch without looking and by the time I was framing the picture it would extend the lens and be ready to go. I do the same with the DSC-P5 but with the flush button I sometimes don't press it hard enough and by the time I realize the camera isn't on and isn't coming on the moment has passed.
