Newton

Originally a MessagePad 2000, it was sent in for the upgrade to the 2100.

I used to use this all the time. I would print from it, e-mail from it, enter all my schedules into it, write in it as a diary at night. Unfortunately it is only as good as how you keep it up to date, and I fell out of having it always at my side. It is a fabulous little device, but nowadays I just use it to play the little patience secret games easter egg.

History: The Newton Message Pad 2000 was a complete mobile computer with a wide range of software like web-browser, eMail-client, word processor, fax software, calendar, address book and it was even able to record speech for up to one hour on its 4 MB memory card. However, the major advantage to its predecessor (MP 130) was its new processor. The 160 MHz StrongARM processor speeded up all operations of the Newton Message Pad 2000 significantly. The MP 2000 was later re-launched as Message Pad 2100, the first Newton with an Ethernet networking card.
