Redneck Neighbor - Everything that can go wrong with a neighbor. Nothing illegal here -- just a complete lack of common sense (and taste). And a policeman that is itchin' for and excuse to put some d*mn body in jail.

Top of the Crops 2002 - Crop circles! I think for the most part they are simply beautiful. Explore the site a bit and you can find a Beginners Guide for your own circlemaking.

World's Smallest Website - The name says it all. I dare you to view it with your browser in full screen mode!

Powers of Ten - Zoom from 1023m (10 million light years from the Milky Way) down through 101m (oak tree leaves) to 10-15m (a single proton). And back! Nice Java applet animation.

Backyard Projects - People with too much time on their hands have built a Millenium Falcon and a MechWarrior treehouse in their backyards. We're talking big when-is-this-going-to-be-finished-honey? projects. The Millenium Falcon was a mock-up for a fanboy Star Wars movie clip and was eventually destroyed by the elements (much to the relief of wife and neighbors). The MechWarrior treehouse however is the envy of the neighborhood kids who now want their dads to build them one.

Planetarium - A puzzle and a story told in twelve parts over twelve weeks. As each week unfolds you get a bit more of the story and three more puzzles to solve. The puzzles are equally divided amongst easy, medium and hard, and you don't need to solve the puzzles to enjoy the story. Towards the beginning I wanted things to go faster so I could get to the end, but towards the end I wanted things to slow down so I could solve all the puzzle I had previously put on the back burner. If you solve all (or most) of the minor puzzles, they jigsaw together into a large major puzzle that is quite satisfying. As with any great book when it was over I was left aching for more.

Amazon Light - Kokogiak has retooled the Amazon.com XML API to give you all the functionality but none of the bloat. Very functional and quick. Once you've found what you want you can head over to the actual Amazon.com web site to do your official business.

Dictionaraoke - Your favorite songs sung by the audio voice of online dictionaries. The first one I listened to was "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles. The song is somewhat spoken anyways, so it actually sounded kind of cool. Then I heard the duet of Encarta and Merriam-Webster singing Elton John's "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and thought it sucked. It's still fun anyways. Now if someone would put do a Pet Shop Boys song...

elgooG - You even have to type your query backwards (!) to use this Google Mirror

Riddles - Grouped in Easy / Medium / Hard / Microsoft / CS categories. No answers! You just have to assume you figured it out correctly. But they are good! The one answer they give to Cigarettes on a Table I think is a bunch of hooey, so perhaps it is best he doesn't post any more answers. I can get five cigarettes touching each other (two touching in a V, two more in a V on top, one perpendicular in the middle touching the four others). The mathemaical explanation of 7 is either wrong or beyond my capability to understand. [Later...] Wait! I just figured out 6! Two touching in a V pointed upwards. Two more touching in a V with the apex of the second V nestled below the apex of the first in a sort of teepee shape. Now put an X of two more in the middle of the floor of teepee (one teepee leg in each quadrant of the X). Now bring the teepee legs together so the four grab the X (the lower V vertice will have to lower as the upper V legs come closer).

The Elements - A flash animation of Tom Lehrer's ode to the Periodic Table titled The Elements

Crazy Rabbit - Don't let the rabbit get your cursor. He's almost impossible to shake off.

JavaSlide Interactive Slide Rule - For when you've left your slipstick in your other pocket protector.
