iTunesWell, more information to come. For now, here is some good info: Apple iTunes: Overview, Download, Store, Gift Certificates MacInTouch: How to Share Music
GroupingWith iTunes 4.2 there is a new Grouping field. Basically it is another field you can edit and search on. A lot of people already use the Comments field for this functionality. Supposedly this can clean up the Comments field if you want. Or you can use it for more precise selecting in song lists. For example, you can create aCoversmart playlist by searching for "Grouping Contains Cover" for all songs that have been covered by another artist. Of course you have to add Coverto the Grouping field. I'm not too sure how this is much different than dragging songs to a static Playlist, but the Grouping field does persist if you move the song to another computer. There is a thread in the Apple Discussion Boards about what Grouping is and how to use it. The Grouping field maps to the 'TIT1 Content group description' ID3 frame. See <http://www.id3.org/id3v2.4.0-frames.txt>
iMixWith the onset of iTunes 4.5 we can now publish playlists for others to see/reveiw. Here is what I have published.Growing through Experience: The story of maturing through a bad relationship. Progresses from alone and insecure to finding someone. First he is treated badly and puts up with it but then gets fed up and finds the courage to break up. When it is all behind he comes out a stronger person. (I'd put "Somewhere Tonight" after song 6, but there's no Bob Seger available at the store yet.)
iTunes Music StoreHere are some links to get right into the Music Store. iTunes Essentials - '70s One Hit Wonders, '80s One Hit Wonders, '90s One Hit Wonders
iTunes Free Songs up to date - A list of all the free songs offered on the iTunes Music Store. Most have gone beyond their free availability and you have to purchase them for the standard price, but the most recent listed are the free ones and the button says 'Free'.
